Rick LEONARD, founder + principal
With in-depth expertise in B2B communications for established companies, mid-tier organizations and start-ups, RCL Communications has handled assignments for clients in technology, sports, health care, professional services, transportation, travel, real estate and higher education. Rick's skill set includes media relations, thought leadership, content development, speaking opportunities, event management, positioning and corporate counsel.
He is as adept at working with trade publications as he is with top-tier business reporters at CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company and The New York Times.
Prior to establishing RCL Communications, while at Burson-Marsteller, Rick was part of an integrated account team of Y&R agencies that launched Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), the first Big 6 accounting firm to split tax/audit from consulting. At Ketchum, he won a PRSA Silver Anvil award as the account lead for client American Management Systems, a D.C.- based IT consulting company. Previously, Rick was Managing Director at Stanton Communications, where he managed the New York office and led the B2B practice at Middleberg Euro RSCG in New York.
Rick received his B.A. in English from Dickinson College and has studied at Boston College, Fairfield University and The New School.
